A construction firm in Southlake is seeking a skilled Estimator responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for diverse projects. This role encompasses reviewing bid documents, detailed quantity takeoffs, and developing pricing that aligns with standards and client requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction trades, proficient in relevant software, and possess exceptional communication skills. Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of construction documents, plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with UL assemblies and their application to project plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze all bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive cost estimates.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate vendor pricing and subcontract scopes.
• Prepare clear, professional proposals for submission.
• Build new customer relationships and maintain existing ones.

Skills

Strong construction experience in drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and exterior cladding trades

Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Quick Bid software

Strong negotiation skills related to vendor pricing and scope definition

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational and decision-making abilities
