Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent; trade school/technical training preferred.
• Experience: 0–2 years in construction estimating or related technical area; entry-level candidates welcome.
• Industry knowledge: ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, specs.
• Technical skills: strong math and computer proficiency; MS Office and estimating software helpful.
• Skills & attributes: analytical, detail-oriented, organized, able to meet multiple deadlines and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural and engineering plans to develop material quantities and project estimates.
• Calculate reinforcing steel, wire mesh, and other project material requirements from construction documents.
• Partner with sales to prepare detailed estimates and supporting information for proposals.
• Interpret drawings, specs, and design requirements; identify changes affecting estimates.
• Collaborate with sales, detailing, and project teams to incorporate evolving design requirements.
• Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to clarify project requirements and support timely estimates.
