You will review plans and specs to prepare detailed estimates for bids, perform quantity take-offs and analyze costs, and collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate budgeting. Responsibilities include maintaining cost databases, tracking market pricing, and delivering clear documentation and reports to support management decisions and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Strong estimating skills interpreting drawings/specs/scopes of work.
• Ability to perform quantity take-offs and cost management for materials/labor/equipment.
• Budgeting and financial analysis to develop and adjust bids.
• Clear communication with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
• Experience in construction or electrical contracting estimating or coordination.
• Proficiency with estimating software and spreadsheets.
• Attention to detail, time management and organization to handle multiple bids.
• High school diploma required; degree beneficial.

Role Description

The Construction Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Wrightstown, NJ. This role involves reviewing plans, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed and accurate estimates for construction bids. Day-to-day tasks include performing quantity take-offs, analyzing labor and material costs, and developing comprehensive bid proposals. The estimator will collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, suppliers, and subcontractors to clarify scope, update cost projections, and support budgeting and scheduling decisions. The role also includes maintaining cost databases, tracking market pricing, and providing clear documentation and reports to support management decisions.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Construction Estimating skills with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.


• Candidates should possess skills in Quantity Take-offs and Cost Management to prepare accurate material, labor, and equipment calculations.


• Candidates should possess Budgeting and financial analysis skills to develop, monitor, and adjust project budgets and bids.


• Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients, and to present estimates and recommendations.


• Relevant experience in construction or electrical contracting, preferably in estimating or project coordination.


• Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and other construction management tools.


• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.


• High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.


• Knowledge of local building codes, industry standards, and safety practices is an advantage.
