Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore USA is seeking an Estimator to oversee residential and commercial loss projects related to insurance claims. The role requires coordinating with multiple departments to generate estimates, define scopes of work, obtain approvals, and assist with design and budgeting.

Ideal candidates will have restoration industry experience, proficiency with Xactimate, strong computer skills, and excellent professional communication.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Calls on adjusters, property managers and referrals to support projects.
• Receive loss assignments and coordinate on-site when needed.
• Work with mitigation and construction staff to contact and be on-site quickly.
• Prepare accurate scope estimates and obtain project approvals.
• Assist with monitoring accounts receivable from customers and insurers.
• Coordinate with project manager, vendors and subcontractors.
• Assist with change orders, supplements and project difficulties.
• Create budgets and monitor job costs; reconcile estimates with actuals.
• Maintain documentation on inspections and project flow; update systems.
• Deliver necessary paperwork to the administrative department.
• Support moving projects from estimating to production; assist invoicing/billing.

We’re looking for an Estimator to oversee projects for residential & commercial losses related to insurance claims including construction or repairs. Will work hand in hand with all departments to provide estimates, scopes of work, get approvals on projects, assist with project design, project budgets, etc. We are seeking those with both sales and project management experience within disaster restoration, ideally for both commercial and residential.

Requirements:

• Prefer an individual with experience in the restoration industry and construction.
• Prefer an individual with experience using Xactimate
• Knowledge and proficiency with computers

• Ability to travel out of town, if needed.
• IICRC certification preferred, but willing to train the right candidate

Responsibilities

• Calls on adjusters, property managers and other direct referral sources to support the overall project.
• Receive loss assignments.
• Work directly with mitigation and construction staff to contact and possibly be on-site in as timely of fashion as deemed appropriate.
• Prepares and estimates an accurate scope for various projects and seeks approval on estimates for project start.
• Assist with monitoring and the collections accounts receivables from Customers and Insurance companies.
• Coordinates with project manager, sub constructors, vendors, etc.
• Assist project manager with project difficulties, supplements, and change orders.
• Create budgets, job cost monitoring, providing clarification between estimate and actual job cost.
• Maintain documentation through notes & otherwise on personal inspections and project flow.
• Update all necessary documentation on job management systems including adding pertinent documents
• Maintain professionalism with project conditions: (i.e.: workmanship, homeowner relationships, safety, cleanliness, and trades people conduct).
• Deliver necessary paperwork to the administrative department.
• Assistance on moving projects from estimating to production.
• Coordinate invoicing and billing with the accounting office related to estimating and bidding.
• Complete special assignments as requested by Supervisor
• Participate in on-going problem solving and practicing continuous improvement of the department and company as a whole.
