Job summary

Anchor Construction is seeking an experienced design/construction estimator to drive project estimates, budgets, and schedules from initial opportunity to execution. You will lead upfront client communications and oversee SOQ preparation while coordinating with operations for handoffs and subcontractor selection.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience in construction project management, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and industry software.

We are seeking an experienced construction professional to join our team and play a key role in helping bring projects from initial opportunity to successful execution.

Responsibilities

• Put together project estimates, budgets, and project schedules
• Upfront client communication on potential projects
• Manage all aspects of putting together a SOQ for a potential project
• Manage workload and tasks in a deadline driven environment
• Go to pre-construction meetings, take notes, and ask questions that can be used to develop proposals
• Remain part of a project during a "hand off" period to an Operations Project Manager, once we get the work
• Call and solicit proposals from sub-contractors
• Help build out and streamline our sales processes
• Research and maintain knowledge of building application methods and materials
• Manage subcontractor selection
• Prepare and reviews construction proposals
• Create construction budgets and schedules
• Assist in developing and reviewing contract documents
• Participate in project meetings
• Understand client needs and requirements
• Contribute to the Request for Information (RFI) process

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• At least 5-10 years of relevant experience with managing construction projects from kick off through completion
• Proficiency with applications like Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams) and other industry specific software
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be a team player with strong organizational skills
