Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services in Platte City, MO seeks a Construction Technician – Trainer to deliver high-quality instruction on construction equipment systems, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repair. The role blends field experience with proven teaching methods to develop technicians' skills and safety practices.

You will conduct hands-on demonstrations, adapt to different learning levels, evaluate performances, and support certification efforts.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of field experience with construction equipment.
Strong knowledge of construction equipment systems, diagnostics, PM, and repair.
Hands-on experience with excavators, dozers, skid steers, wheel loaders or similar.
Solid understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and maintenance.
Proven ability to teach, mentor, and communicate technical concepts.
Excellent verbal and written communication; able to adapt to varying learner levels.

Responsibilities

Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction on equipment operation, PM, diagnostics, and repair.
Provide training on excavators, dozers, skid steers, wheel loaders, and related gear.
Demonstrate service procedures, diagnostics, safety practices, and troubleshooting.
Evaluate trainee performance and give constructive feedback; adapt to learners.
Develop and maintain training materials; support certification preparation where applicable.
