Location: Various field locations-Travel Monday-Friday within 250-300 Miles of Fort Wayne

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Operator to join our dynamic team in the petroleum contracting industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment including, but not limited to, skid steers and large andmini excavators (CAT 305-336), to support our operations in building Truck Stops, Convenience Store, and Fuel Centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate skid steer loaders and large andmini excavators to perform tasks such as earthmoving, grading, and loading.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and basic repairs on equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations while performing site operations.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Monitor site conditions and report any issues or hazards to the supervisor.
  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of petroleum systems and components.
  • Train and supervise junior operators, providing guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator, with a focus on skid steer andexcavator operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret site plans and operational manuals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to work in various outdoor conditions and to adapt to flexible work hours and travel.
