Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking an Engineering Summer Intern for our Construction group in our Traverse City office. Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, construction engineering or concrete technology (sophomore or junior status preferred) and possess a valid driver’s license.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required. Candidates must be self-motivated, very organized and have excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interpret project plans and specifications.
• Conduct field inspections and maintain work item quantities.
• Conduct field or laboratory material tests.
• Maintain project files and record drawings.
• Prepare construction reports.
• Assist with preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities.
• Assist with scope, budget and schedule of new project tasks.
• Attend client, public, project and staff meetings.
