Job summary

Fluor Corporation is hiring for a construction engineering leadership role in the United States. The candidate will establish and execute the construction engineering program, supervise site engineers, and coordinate information flow between client, design teams, and project staff.

Ideal applicants have extensive nuclear construction experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Accredited four-year degree and eighteen (18) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and related experience equivalent to twenty-two (22) years if non-degreed; some locations may differ per local requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Must be able to provide proof of US citizenship.
  • Experience with Nuclear Construction.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute the construction engineering program, including exchange of engineering information among the client, design engineer, and project.
  • Supervise the project construction engineers and coordinate their activities with the construction engineering department and other project departments.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication between the company and design engineering to ensure timely flow of design documents and information.
  • Work with the Site Quality Manager to ensure that the Quality objectives are met for the project.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Construction Management degree or global equivalent
  • Typically has eighteen (18) years of field project experience
  • Thorough working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures
  • Advanced computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the advanced use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
