HR Green, Inc. is seeking a Construction Engineer in Springfield, MO to turn plans into concrete results. You will coordinate teams, assess design conditions, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

This role bridges design and field execution to meet client expectations and project goals. Qualified candidates have a BS in Engineering with up to 5 years of construction observation experience, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required; Civil Eng preferred.
• Up to 5 years construction observation experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with documentation standards and inspection procedures is preferred.
• Strong time management and clear communication essential.
• Experience with engineering-related testing equipment required.
• Proficiency with MS Office to manage project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Apply local, state, and federal specifications in the field, guiding contractors and resolving challenges.
• Investigate construction obstacles related to design, materials, or site conditions; propose proactive solutions.
• Advise clients on construction methods, materials, and strategies to optimize outcomes and control costs.
• Partner with clients, contractors, and internal teams to navigate complex issues and adjust plans.
• Inspect and monitor contractor work, perform QA checks, verify tolerances, document compliance.
• Apply expertise in structures, materials, soils, water, and foundations to provide technical guidance.
• Lead progress meetings, respond to field situations, and maintain detailed project documentation.
• Contribute technical insights to enhance project efficiency and safety.
