KCI Technologies, Inc. is growing its construction engineering team in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. We seek an entry-level structural engineer with a background in design and the ability to work with contractors on construction projects.

Responsibilities include analysis, drafting, and coordination of project deliverables, plus field observations. ABET-accredited degree and strong communication skills are required; EIT certification is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program.
Experience in structural design and analysis is preferred.
Proficiency with design software and MS Office.
Strong communication and technical writing skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
0-2 years of experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

Perform structural engineering analysis and design of temporary and permanent works.
Complete structural analysis of permanent structures during the construction phase.
Develop and assess construction sequence proposals.
Producing sketches to communicate the design to our clients.
Assists in the preparation of project deliverables, including reports, drawings and specifications, cost estimates, BIM/CADD work.
Performs basic survey work and observes construction activities.
Reviews input from Project or Technical Managers and makes necessary adjustments to work product.
Performs work in a timely manner within schedules and budgets.

Duties, Responsibilities & Other

We are seeking to grow our construction engineering team in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. You will be joining our aspirational and enthusiastic team in providing our clients with high quality and complex engineering solutions.

We define construction engineering as design consulting services across many aspects of project delivery ranging from construction logistics planning, demolition and shoring design, means and methods, crane and hoist design, steel connections, and site observations. The right candidate will have a background in structural engineering design, with the aptitude of working with contractors on projects that are in the construction phase.

Assists in the preparation of project deliverables, including but not limited to: reports, permit applications, drawings and specifications, cost estimates, field data collection, shop drawing review, calculations, material testing and BIM/CADD work.
Performs basic survey work and observes construction activities.
Reviews input from Project or Technical Managers and makes the necessary adjustments and corrections to work product.
Performs work in a timely and effective manner within assigned schedules and budgets.
