Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in resolving installation challenges and other electrical issues encountered in the field.

• Prepare field reports, RFIs, progress updates, and other documentation.

PURPOSE

Our client is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Construction Electrical Supervisor to represent the Company’s interests in the field and oversee the electrical scope of work on active project sites. The successful candidate will ensure that electrical systems, controls, and related infrastructure are installed correctly, safely, and in accordance with contract documents, applicable codes, and project requirements.This position is well suited to an experienced electrical construction professional who enjoys working in the field and coordinating directly with subcontractors, construction teams, and project personnel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Leadership & Field Supervision

• Coordinate directly with electrical subcontractors to ensure the proper installation of electrical systems and controls in accordance with contract documents and project requirements.
• Monitor electrical construction progress against project schedules and communicate status, delays, risks, and field issues to the Construction Manager and project team.
• Participate in site walks, pre-installation meetings, progress meetings, and other project coordination activities with subcontractors, general contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide hands‑on field oversight and technical support throughout the construction and installation process.
• Assist in resolving installation challenges, constructability concerns, and other electrical issues encountered in the field.

Technical Operations

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, one‑line diagrams, panel schedules, specifications, and construction documents.
• Verify that subcontractor installations conform to approved designs and project requirements.
• Apply a strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable state and local requirements to identify and resolve code compliance issues.
• Research jurisdiction‑specific electrical code requirements as necessary for individual project locations.
• Support the coordination and field installation of instrumentation, controls, and related electrical systems.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, construction, instrumentation and controls, and project management teams to resolve technical issues.

Project Administration & Compliance

• Identify, document, and drive electrical punch‑list items through final completion and project closeout.
• Prepare field reports, RFIs, progress updates, and other documentation related to electrical construction activities.
• Support quality control and safety compliance for electrical work performed at project sites.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications and other project‑related software in support of daily responsibilities.

Safety

• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all assigned project sites.
• Ensure electrical construction activities are performed in accordance with applicable safety standards, Company policies, and site requirements.
• Investigate delays, deficiencies, and installation issues and assist in implementing appropriate corrective actions.

Other Responsibilities

• Travel to active project sites for multi‑day assignments as required, approximately 40% of the time.
• Maintain current professional and technical knowledge of electrical construction practices, codes, and industry standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Approximately 6–7+ years of hands‑on electrical construction experience, preferably in commercial or industrial environments.

• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one‑line diagrams, panel schedules, and construction documents.

• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 40% of the time.

Preferred

• Experience in industrial facilities, process plants, water or wastewater facilities, manufacturing environments, or similar infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and controls systems.
• Previous experience as an electrical foreman, superintendent, field coordinator, or similar supervisory role.
• An active or recently held journeyman or master electrician license.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Valid passport and any additional documentation required for project travel may be required.
• Electrical licensure is preferred but not required at the time of hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work is performed primarily on active construction sites and requires the ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, crouch, climb ladders and stairs, and perform occasional physical labor. The employee may be required to lift and move light and heavy objects.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work is performed primarily on active construction sites and may include industrial facilities, process plants, water or wastewater facilities, and outdoor or semi‑outdoor environments. Employees may be exposed to dust, dirt, grease, machinery, elevated noise levels, and varying weather conditions. Appropriate personal protective equipment may be required.
