Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting is seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator for vertical or horizontal drilling in Burlington, VT. The role offers a path for advancement within a growing, employee-owned company and a starting pay of $24–$30/hour DOE, plus a daily travel stipend.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years hydraulic equipment operating experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform all drilling activity per the job program to meet production targets.
• Follow safety policies and perform daily maintenance for safe operation of equipment, including top hammer drills.
• Maximize usage of drill supplies and manage accessories.
• Communicate issues and terrain conditions to the Blasting Supervisor
• Understand field accounting and submit timely drill reports and timecards
• Maintain physical agility to perform essential functions
• Participate in Foreman and safety meetings and work unsupervised when needed
