TRUCKING PEOPLE is seeking a Construction Data Capture Technician for a part-time, 1-year contract in Austin, TX. You will operate 360-degree cameras and data capture gear on active sites, collecting accurate field data and documenting progress.

The role is ideal for students or early-career professionals interested in construction, surveying, GIS, or photography. Training is provided; Friday availability is required, with 5–10 hours on Fridays and some weekday options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Comfortable working outdoors on active construction sites.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable and dependable.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable walking long distances during shifts.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic comfort using technology and camera equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate 360-degree cameras and data capture equipment on construction sites.
• Collect accurate site data following established procedures.
• Walk construction sites to document project progress.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate project updates.
• Follow all job site safety requirements and company procedures.
• Work closely with project teams to meet project objectives.
• Ensure equipment is handled safely and properly.
• Travel to construction sites within the Austin area as needed.
