Job summary

Pro Energy Services Group seeks a Level 1 coordinator to support transmission and distribution resources in Northern California. Office co-located at Investor-owned Utility Facility; field work may be required supporting outside line crews.

Must plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload with independent judgment. Responsibilities include pre-construction meetings, outage coordination with PG&E, crew scheduling, and effective communication with supervisors and admin teams.

Salary Range: $30.00 To $45.00 Hourly

Job Summary

The primary focus of this position is to support the customer transmission and/or distribution resources, executing inspection and repair work through Northern California. Office will be co-located at Investor-owned Utility Facility and remote field/yard work may be required supporting outside line crews. Provides variety of support, administrative, and operations tasks. Deals with a diverse group of employees, external callers, and Utility customer interactions. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload.

Example of Duties
  • Pre-construction job meetings and job walks
  • Customer meets and resolution of discrepancies / access issues
  • Meeting with PG&E/ city agencies regarding upcoming work
  • Pre-field for outages, switching and shoo-fly locations
  • Determine LZ's for AirOps support
  • Determine generation drop and pick up locations
  • On the job training with lower-level coordinators
  • Utilization of the PG&E portal to access circuit maps, work order maps, FIM maps, TLM
  • PGS communication and requesting outage approval for PG&E CMIR process
  • PG&E communication with requesting of troubleman, apparatus and substation support
  • Requesting NTO, Outages, transmission clearances and Intermediate to advanced switching programs
  • Maintaining of crew calendars and crew scheduling
  • Knowledge in reading and understanding PG&E environmental ERD documents
  • Communication with general foremen, Superintendent regarding crew scheduling and job planning
  • Communication with the admin team regarding work status and updates
  • Communication with the yard / material team regarding material availability
  • Communicating office / region needs and issues to supervision / management
  • Manage a team with proficiency in all aspects of level 1 and 2 coordination responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Competent in managing workflow, planning, scheduling, deadlines, and reporting work execution with minimal errors
  • Ability to understand, interpret, explain, and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience/Education
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of work experience in the electrical transmission and distribution industry, often with 5+ years in a coordination role
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Licenses/Certifications
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license, Class C, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company’s insurance carrier.
