Job summary

Renowned Recruitment Group partners with a premier construction firm to recruit a full-time Controller in San Jose, CA. This senior finance leader will oversee all accounting operations, ensure accurate reporting, and strengthen internal controls across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Ensure financial records and reporting are GAAP-compliant and in line with internal policies.
• Analyze profitability, costs, and budgets; provide regular and ad hoc reports to leadership.
• Partner with management on financial planning, operational analysis, and identifying cost drivers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with banking/financing partners for ongoing operations.
• Coordinate monthly/quarterly/annual reporting packages for accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance across federal/state/local payroll/property taxes.
• Forecast, monitor, and manage cash flow to support operations and long-term objectives.
