Job summary

Allied Electric is seeking a Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting across GAAP, construction accounting, and internal controls. This role partners with the CFO and operations to improve processes and provide data-driven insights for growth.

The ideal candidate has CPA, 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, and familiarity with Sage 300, Timberline, and Kojo. Location in Grand Rapids, MI; salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA designation is required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, 7+ years preferred.
• Experience in electrical contracting or construction accounting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and schedules.
• Oversee job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, and project reporting.
• Ensure accurate cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Improve internal controls and support audits.
• Partner with CFO and operations to drive business decisions.
