This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Competitive Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position

Serve as a Construction Control Representative responsible for an assigned function of surveillance of contract construction operations.

Duties

• Make controlling interpretations of the intent of plans and specifications.
• Responsible for surveillance, controlling, and monitoring the construction program for major military projects.
• Review and analyze plans and specifications to gain familiarity with the project to ensure the feasibility of the construction aspects prior to start of work.
• Monitor the provisions of the contractor safety program for compliance.
• Assist in negotiating field changes.
• Confer with contractor's staff to settle disputes and disagreements on-site.
