Job summary

Union Depot in Phoenix is seeking a dedicated janitorial teammate to clean and maintain facilities, including heavy cleaning tasks across floors, walls, glass, and equipment. You will operate in confined spaces and at heights with appropriate fall protection, and you will notify leaders about needed repairs to building systems.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to standards, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities, performing heavy cleaning duties (floors, walls, glass, electrical boxes, pipes, ceilings, and more).
• Performs cleaning in confined spaces and at heights up to 20+ feet with fall protection.
• Notifies managers about repairs or additions to building systems.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication with coworkers and supervisors.
• Complies with safety and quality standards established by Company and regulators.
• Flexible and willing to complete multiple tasks as assigned.
• Stand or walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lb; frequently walk over 10,000 steps on uneven surfaces and stairs.

Job description

• Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities. Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, cleaning walls, glass, electrical boxes, switch gears, removing rubbish, performing overhead cleaning including pipes, air ducts, ceiling, cable trays and I-beams using extension poles, scaffolds, ladders and/or MEWP.

• Performing cleaning duties in confined spaces such as RMF (Raised Metal Floor), MAU (Make-up Air Unit)& working at heights over 20 feet while wearing a 20-30Lbs fall protection.

• Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

• Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.

• Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.

• Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete multiple/all tasks that are assigned.

• Standing for long periods of time, bending, crawling, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lb.

• Frequently walking over 10,000 steps on uneven surfaces & stairs.
