Job summary

ABM is seeking a reliable Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across active construction zones in Abilene, TX. You will handle debris removal, restroom sanitation, and general site cleaning, supporting a safe and efficient work environment.

The role requires attention to safety requirements, ability to communicate with supervisors, and flexibility for 12-hour shifts. On-the-job training is provided, with bilingual English/Spanish abilities preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain construction site facilities, including trailers, restrooms, and common areas
• Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to surfaces and fixtures
• Notify supervisor of needed repairs or safety concerns
• Maintain effective communication with site personnel, supervisors, and team members
• Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards set by the company and regulatory authorities
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, walls, ceilings, and equipment
• Move boxes, crates, and equipment to access cleaning areas manually or with hand trucks
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate tools and solutions
• Wash and replace blinds as needed
• Gather and dispose of construction debris and trash
• Perform seasonal tasks such as sweeping walkways, raking leaves, cutting grass, or removing snow
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and food service areas

Duties include cleaning floors, surfaces, restrooms, and equipment, as well as assisting with seasonal tasks and minor maintenance reporting.

Language Requirements

Must be able to speak and understand either English or Spanish to receive work instructions, understand safety requirements, and communicate with supervisors. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.

Shift

Monday-Sunday 5:00 AM-5:00 PM (Weekend Flexibility Required) or Monday-Friday 5:00 PM-5:00 AM (Weekend Flexibility Required)

$22-$25.30/hr
