Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities is seeking a Carpenter/Journeyman in Florida to perform a broad range of construction tasks including demolition, cabinetry, framing, drywall, and finish carpentry. You will work with hand and power tools, ensuring work aligns with blueprints and safety standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license; apprenticeship preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction or maintenance experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety requirements (OSHA).
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform demolition, cabinetry, framing, drywall, finish trim installation.
• Install window/door and siding; complete finish carpentry tasks.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently per project plans.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations.

Acts Construction is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Carpenter / Journeymanposition.

In this role, you will be responsible for all basic functions of construction, including but not limited to demolition, cabinetry, metal and wood framing, drywall, finish trim installation, window and door installation, siding installation, and many other aspects of construction. Operates a variety of hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Apprenticeship in carpentry is strongly preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in construction or maintenance related field
• Understanding of blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
• Knowledge of building codes and safety requirements (OSHA)
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Pay Range

$22.97 - $28.54 / hour. Starting rate will vary based on skills and experience.
