Key Responsibilities

Lead Branch Operations

• Oversee all branch activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations from field to office.
• Drive compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations.
• Manage scheduling, staffing, and project execution to deliver consistent results.
• Partner closely with stakeholders, including project managers and foremen, to keep jobs on track.

Own Financial Performance

• Monitor and drive branch profitability, balancing revenue, expenses, and job costs.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts.
• Review and approve project estimates, change orders, and invoices.

Inspire and Develop People

• Hire, train, and mentor project managers, field staff, and administrative team members.
• Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional growth.
• Build a positive, collaborative team culture that celebrates success and problem‑solving.

Grow Client & Business Relationships

• Cultivate long‑term partnerships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for new projects and business development.
• Represent Mathews Mechanical at client meetings, industry events, and in the community.

Drive Strategic Growth

• Align branch operations with company‑wide goals and values.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the company's long‑term vision and success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record managing commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and job costing.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and scheduling tools.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Experience with estimating and business development.
