Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) North Carolina is hiring an Audit & Assurance Senior to join our Construction team. This in-office role is based in Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC, and focuses on client construction engagements from planning through financial statement issuance.

You will lead engagements, review procedures, and help design internal controls while collaborating with clients and staff to ensure quality deliverables and professional service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam preferred.
• 2 years of public accounting audit experience required, with emphasis in financial statements, audits, reviews, and compilations.
• Prior experience with an established public accounting or professional services firm preferred.
• Ability to travel to client sites may require infrequent overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Executing and managing the day-to-day activities of audit engagements for construction clients from start to finish, including budgeting, planning, fieldwork, directing staff, and completing financial statements with disclosures.
• Reviewing client accounting and operating procedures.
• Developing and assessing the design and implementation of internal controls.
• Preparing all necessary financial statements and related disclosures and reportable condition correspondence letters.
• Communicating technical matters effectively with staff, management, and clients.
