The Walsh Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for its Pacific North Water Division in the Bay Area. This role supports design, construction, commissioning, and startup of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in water treatment construction, a bachelor’s degree (preferred), and strong leadership and relationship-building skills. Some relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in water treatment construction.

• Ability to establish relationships and lead people.
• Specific roles may require relocation.

Responsibilities

• Project planning, scheduling and coordination, including participation in work plan development
• Safety and quality control management
• Accurate forecasting and management of budgets
• Change order management
• Managing critical subcontractors and process equipment suppliers
• Coordination with design consultants through design completion on Design-Build projects
• Obtain and review submittals for compliance with contract documents and distribute to Owner/design consultants for formal review
• Draft and submit Requests for Information as required
• Assume responsible charge of process mechanical material and equipment tracking, including development of detailed takeoffs/logs and ensuring delivery prior to scheduled installation dates
• Manage Project Engineers and collaborate with other Assistant Project Managers in responsible charge of other scopes of work
• Resolution of problems involving labor disputes, material delivery and contract administration
• Maintain vehicle, equipment, and tools management

We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Pacific North Water Division in the Bay Area. Preferred Water Project Experience: Experience supporting the design, construction, commissioning, and startup of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including advanced water and wastewater treatment facilities, recycled water systems, treatment plant expansions, pump stations, storage reservoirs, force mains, gravity sewer systems, large-diameter water transmission and distribution pipelines, and underground utility networks. Projects may include municipal, industrial, or public utility infrastructure requiring regulatory compliance, permitting, quality control, testing and commissioning, and coordination with owners, public agencies, utility providers, and multidisciplinary project teams to successfully deliver critical water infrastructure. Salary Range: $99,000 - 149,000/Yr
