Job Title: Construction Assistant Department: SMHP FSLA Status: Non-Exempt Supervisor: Affordable Housing Manager Position Status: Part-Time Position Summary: (Primary Function) The Construction Assistant works alongside the Construction Supervisor to assist in operations including on- site construction supervision, materials pick-up, and assistance with construction tasks. Weekend work may be necessary. Essential Functions: (Critical features of this job are described under the headings below. They may be subject to change at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.) • Works with and supervises groups of families in the construction of their homes. • Teaches tool use, safety, and maintains safe working conditions for jobs to be performed. • Keeps construction in compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and standards. • Complete other job-related activities that may be required or deemed advisable by the supervisor. 1.
