Job summary

GBA Architecture in Charleston, SC is seeking a Construction Administrator to represent on-site, manage field observations, and coordinate with the Client and A/E team from bid through closeout. Expect regular site visits, multi-project oversight, and a principal-level collaboration on design intent.

Qualifications

• Architectural school graduate with 5+ years of construction phase experience
• NAAB-accredited architecture degree or related construction degree
• Architectural registration is a plus but not required
• Experience with K-12, higher education, hospitality, municipal, retail, and historic projects
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Review bid qualifications and general conditions with the team
• Perform field verification of existing conditions on adaptive reuse projects
• Assist with specification and drawing QC and constructability review
• Participate in design-to-CA hand-offs, reviewing schedule and budget
• Review submittals, RFIs, and attend site/coordination meetings
• Produce field reports with photos and maintain project records
• Maintain revised project documents and coordinate revisions
• Verify envelope, air barrier, and flashing installations with QA/QC
