Gordian is looking for an Account Manager who demonstrates professionalism, construction knowledge, and delivers results through their expertise while using Gordian’s extraordinary construction data and software. Primary responsibility for Gordian Senior Account Managers is to provide support, training, for products and services centered around Job Order Contracting (JOC) for clients in a specific geographic area.

JOC is a procurement method and construction process that helps federal, state and local governments, schools, hospitals, higher education institutions and others maximize efficiency, optimize cost savings, and increase construction quality.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned account(s); develop positive working relationships with all customers and construction contractors.
• Serve as subject matter expert of construction contracts, proposals and operations to drive client retention, renewals, upsells and client satisfaction
• Oversight of project support including scope development, material take-offs fromplans and specifications, proposal review, and construction management
• Work closely with and manage Account Managers on day-to-day operational processes including,but not limited to contract renewals, prepare and maintain schedules to accomplishprocurement objectives, troubleshooting, provide software training to client andcontractor staff
• Identify root cause of customer success andfailures alongside Account Managers and drive requirements for process enhancement and development as needed
• Partner with internal cross-functional teams to understand customer goals and keyperformance metrics and exceed those goals yearly.
• Provide input on new processes and workflow as needed
• Focus on ensuring we maintain superior customer service levels, operationalexcellence and strategic insight.
• Work closely with Finance on billing setup and invoicing
• Hiring and developing staff to include the setting of objectives and performancereviews.
• Provide coaching and guidance to team members about every aspect of theirassignments
• Participate in Budget development and management, revenue forecasting, andperiodic updates and management of profit and loss
• Work with Sales and Business Operations team to develop annual program usage andbenchmark report
• Deliver program review to client’s senior management
• Assist sales team in discovering business opportunities outside of Job OrderContracting

Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of construction procurement, construction management, or general contracting related experience related to healthcare construction and construction management
• Knowledge of key conceptsincluding plans, deliverables, scope and tasks
• Confident communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with alllevels of internal and external organizations.
• A focus on relationships, able to gain trust through communication, expectation settingand completion of planned deliverables.
• Sound decision making, analytical and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment; a consultative approach to managing complex client relationships.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, balancing client deliverables on multipleprojects as well as internal obligations.
• Working knowledge and experience in the preparation and process of construction biddocuments.
• The ability to communicate effectively with team members and across the organization.
• Experience identifying client or staffing issues and the ability to create effectivesolutions as well as the knowledge of when to elevate.
• A valid US driver’s license - This is a remote role, however the candidate should have ability to travel 50-70% of the time within assigned geographic area (South Carolina).
