Job summary

NEW Solutions seeks an experienced Conservation Agronomy Specialist to support NRCS Virginia, focusing on cropland soil erosion assessment, soil health, and conservation planning with emphasis on RUSLE2.

You will plan and deliver training, develop technical documents and resources, and provide statewide technical support to staff. Requires 15+ years in agronomy or a BA/BS in agronomy/engineering and NRCS RUSLE2 training, plus a valid driver's license. Travel occasionally.

Qualifications

15+ years in conservation agronomy planning and soil erosion assessment in VA or a BA/BS in a technical field with related experience.
Must have NRCS RUSLE2 training/certification in Virginia and strong organizational/interpersonal skills.
Experience with Windows, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; video editing and webcast production software like Camtasia.

Responsibilities

Provide statewide technical support on conservation agronomy to NRCS staff.
Plan and deliver training on RUSLE2, cropland erosion assessment and prevention.
Develop technical documents, videos, and resources to aid planners; maintain RUSLE2 resources.
