Job summary

The Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District (APOSD) is recruiting an Acquisitions Assistant to support land conservation initiatives that protect agricultural lands, natural resources, and scenic open spaces around Santa Rosa.

Ideal candidates bring experience with public agencies or nonprofits in land acquisition, a working knowledge of GIS, and familiarity with real estate due diligence, escrow, and closing processes; strong communication and project management skills

Qualifications

• Passion for conserving natural and agricultural land for future generations.
• Experience with public agencies and non-profits in land conservation or real property acquisition.
• Understanding of policy issues affecting land use, water, and climate change.
• Familiarity with GIS and related technology in conservation planning.
• Familiarity with real estate transactions, due diligence, escrow, and closing.
