Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a Connection Center Virtual RN to handle inbound/outbound calls, triage patients, and provide guidance based on nursing protocols. This remote role requires you to reside in the Omaha metro area and practice under CHI Health protocols.

You will engage with hospitals, patients, providers, and consumers, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to quality benchmarks while meeting schedule-based call center targets.

Formación

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Must have 3+ years of RN experience.
• 1–3 years of triage experience strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform telephone triage for patients calling their provider with certain symptomology.
• Demonstrates the ability to use the nursing process to collect data; requires interview/communication, critical thinking and problem solving to licensure level.
• Follow protocols approved by CHI Health to provide information to patients and consumers.
• Accept inbound calls from patients, pharmacies and other healthcare entities.
• Perform outbound calls to notify patients of reviewed lab and imaging results according to protocols and chart review.
• Act as a consumer advocate by addressing problems or communicating consumer needs to appropriate resources.
• Follow medication refill protocols and act accordingly.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and adhere to workforce schedules to support call center metrics.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Connection Center Virtual RN at the Virtual Resource Center uses telephone and computer interaction facilitating inbound and outbound communications from hospitals, patients, providers and consumers.

This position will be remote - MUST living within the Omaha Metro / Council Bluffs location to be considered for the role. Out of state applications will NOT be accepted.

• Perform telephone triage for patients calling their provider with certain symptomology.


• Demonstrates the ability to use the nursing process to collect data. Requires interview/communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills to level of licensure.


• Ability to work within protocols approved by CHI Health to provide information to patients and consumers.


• Accepts inbound calls from patients, pharmacies and other healthcare entities.


• Performs outbound calls to notify patients of reviewed lab and imaging results according to protocols that require review of the patient chart to answer questions.


• Acts as a consumer advocate by resolution of problems or communication of consumer needs and concerns to appropriate resources.


• Ability to follow medication refill protocols and act accordingly to those protocols.


• Achieve established benchmarks for quality by ensuring accuracy with patient accounts elements and standards for nursing documentation.


• Ability to adhere to workforce established schedules in order to promote and facilitate call center metrics.

Job Requirements

Required:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state

• At least 1-3 years of triage experience strongly preferred


• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required

Pay Range

$42.76 - $62.00 /hour
