Job summary

The Connected Services Test Engineer at PACCAR Inc plays a key role in driving quality and performance of validating connected products (DAVIE4) and cloud-based services. You will work in-vehicle testing, enhance automation scripts, and collaborate across PACCAR divisions to troubleshoot issues and keep development moving forward.

The role requires strong teamwork and the ability to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of engineering experience.
• Foundational understanding of software testing principles and test methodologies.
• Familiarity with CAN/J1939 protocols.
• Ability to interpret electrical systems and schematics.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Solid workload management with adaptable priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle and engine diagnostic software testing using test benches and in-vehicle setups.
• Verify end-to-end functionality of connected services.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute small to moderate-scope projects with minimal supervision.
• Ensure all functionality is validated through executable test cases.
• Recommend the most effective test method (bench or in-vehicle) based on engineering judgment.
• Validate defect fixes for closure and communicate customer impact to stakeholders.
• Foster strong communication across teams.
