Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a Configuration Manager to maintain accurate baselines, version histories, inventories, and documentation for applications, databases, hardware, and networked systems within DoD environments.

The role supports change-control boards, coordinates deployments with operations and system administrators, and ensures accuracy and auditability across multiple environments while contributing to CM process improvements and CM repository management.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software, database, or IT system configuration management, asset tracking, or related enterprise-level functions.
• Familiarity with version-control systems, release-management practices, and basic networking or system architecture concepts
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail
• Active Secret clearance or eligibility

Responsibilities

The SLA Analysis Group’s mission is to deliver objective analyses, plans and strategies to US Navy, US Marine Corps, USAF, other DoD, and Australian Defence Force clients to support technology development, acquisition, delivery and sustainment decisions. The group provides the core of SPA thought leadership on Undersea Strategy, Software Development and Cost Estimating, with additional benchmark capabilities in AI/ML & Decision Analytics, Modeling and Simulation, and Future Force Assessments.

SPA has a need for a Configuration Manager to maintain accurate, controlled records of software, databases, systems, and network configurations supporting AF/A10 missions, the Foreign Clearance Program, and APACS. These roles ensure changes are reviewed, documented, and implemented in a disciplined, auditable manner across multiple environments.
