Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in configuration management or system documentation.
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain configuration documentation baselines and process CM change requests in accordance with regulations and CM plans.
• Document and track CCB meetings, approvals, actions, and final decisions.
• Maintain and update configuration documentation using approved tools for control, versioning, and change tracking.
• Maintain configuration documentation for data centers and rooms including space, power, HVAC, rack elevations, and layouts.
• Maintain floor plan documentation with system locations, models, serials, warranty info, and network connectivity.
• Maintain documentation for phones, printers, and scanners with physical locations and network mappings.
• Maintain network architecture documentation for metropolitan, campus, and local networks.
• Maintain software configurations above standard desktop baseline for all systems and apps.
• Provide informal status reports summarizing CM data.
• Conduct monthly CM audits of at least 10% of baseline inventory and report results.
• Coordinate with system owners, cybersecurity, and engineering to reflect changes in documentation.
• Support RMF-related processes with traceable configuration data.
• Assist in developing and maintaining CILs, baselines, version histories, and relationships.
• Ensure CM documentation is stored and version-controlled per records retention and security guidance.
• Identify discrepancies in CM documentation and recommend corrective actions.
• Support system integration, modernization, and decommissioning with validated configuration accuracy.
• Provide mentorship and guidance on configuration control practices.
