Job summary

Garmin International is seeking a full-time Configuration Control Specialist at our U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will manage and perform moderately complex configuration control tasks and coordinate item master changes and ECOs.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, understanding of BOMs, and familiarity with quality systems. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, along with strong MS Office skills and knowledge of Agile or

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Ability to communicate with cross functional teams and customers.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of parts drawings and implementing changes within a quality system by using Agile or similar tool.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain, manufacturing processes and MRP.

Responsibilities

  • Offers sound problem solving and root cause analysis to develop corrective actions.
  • Prioritizes workload with support and expedites as needed.
  • Assembles and analyzes data to identify problems and recommendations supporting multiple segments.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to assist teammates as needed.
  • Works under general supervision and follows established procedures.

Job description

Overview

We are seeking a full-time Configuration Control Specialistat Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and performing moderately complex configuration control tasks and other related item master or ECO (Engineering Change Order) coordination activities.

Essential Functions
  • Learns and understands department tools

  • Demonstrates ability to complete well defined tasks and/or projects
  • Able to offer suggestions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
