Job summary

Ready Mixed Concrete in Lincoln, NE is hiring Concrete Truck Drivers. Earn up to $32.00 per hour DOE and a $2,500 hiring bonus. CDL or CLP required; you will operate a concrete mixer truck and deliver to construction sites while upholding safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, ability to pass DOT physicals, read job documents, and lift up to 60 pounds. On-the-job training, benefits, PTO, and wellness programs are offered.

• Ability to read and understand work instructions, load tickets, road maps, GPS directions, safety data sheets, and other job-related documents.
• Flexibility to work late or irregular hours during the busy season.
• Ability to perform physical job duties, including frequently lifting or moving up to 60 pounds to shoulder height.
• Commitment to safe driving, dependable attendance, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate a transit mixer truck to safely deliver ready-mix concrete.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Follow dispatch instructions and deliver concrete to designated job sites.
• Identify and respond to potential hazards in traffic, at job sites, and throughout plant areas.
• Position the truck and discharge concrete according to contractor specifications.
• Attach, remove, and clean concrete chutes and washing out the mixer as needed.
• Perform basic vehicle upkeep and minor maintenance as required.
• Assist with plant maintenance, yard cleanup, pallet repair, and other duties when workloads are light.
• Wear required PPE and follow safety procedures.

What You'll Do

As a Concrete Mixer Truck Driver, you'll operate a transit mixer truck to safely deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites. You'll play an important role in helping our customers complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely operating a concrete mixer truck in accordance with company safety policies and applicable DOT regulations.
• Completing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reporting maintenance needs.
• Following dispatch instructions and delivering concrete to designated job sites.
• Identifying and responding appropriately to potential hazards in traffic, at job sites, and throughout plant areas.
• Positioning the truck and operating equipment to discharge concrete according to contractor specifications.
• Attaching, removing, and cleaning concrete chutes and washing out the mixer as needed.
• Performing basic vehicle upkeep and minor maintenance as required.
• Assisting with plant maintenance, yard cleanup, pallet repair, and other duties when workloads are light.
• Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and following all safety procedures.

This position involves working outdoors and around construction equipment and moving machinery.
