Job summary

Midwest Concrete Constructors (MCC) is seeking a motivated Concrete Project Manager Intern to join our Richmond Heights, MO team. You will work on active projects, assist Superintendents, and gain hands-on experience managing schedules, subcontractors, and project life cycles in commercial, industrial, and multi-family settings.

This internship offers practical training, housing near the jobsite, per diem, and a clear path to full-time opportunities within the ARCO family of companies.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related degree.
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher preferred.
• Co-op or intern construction experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and strong work ethic.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to meet physical demands (standing/walking, lifting up to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendents on jobsites across commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects.
• Learn scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project execution from field leaders.
• Contribute to project life cycles from planning to closeout.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

At MCC, an Intern works during the summer and has the opportunity to assist Superintendents with the following:

• Work on Jobsites and get hands on experience from our expert field personnel on projects in a variety of industries including, commercial, industrial, distribution, office, multi-family, entertainment and more
• Learn various skills from the Superintendent on the job including creating schedules, talking to subcontractors, running a project smoothly from start to finish and working with the Superintendent on the jobsite
• You will make a meaningful contribution to ARCO’s success, performing critical tasks in every stage of the project life cycle

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

• Enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other related degree programs
• Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0
• Co-op or Intern construction experience preferred, but not required
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: standing or walking for long periods of time, occasionally on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds
