Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company, a TIC Marine and Heavy Civil unit and part of Kiewit, seeks a Concrete Superintendent to lead self-perform crews in Savannah, GA. You will manage marine and waterfront concreting, develop look-ahead schedules, monitor progress, and coordinate with project teams.

The role requires 2+ years in construction with leadership, strong organizational and safety focus, and the ability to drive schedule adherence and quality across structural concrete works.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction exp with at least 1 year in a Superintendent/leadership role on infrastructure projects.
• Self-starter with motivation to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to learn Kiewit’s policies, procedures and software.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership, safety, planning and contract administration abilities.
• Ability to access all areas on a construction site.

Responsibilities

• Manage work sequencing and logistics in constrained marine and waterfront environments.
• Develop and maintain detailed look-ahead schedules.
• Monitor daily production rates and crew performance.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, quality, and equipment teams.
• Identify schedule risks and implement recovery plans.
• Ensure progress according to milestones and contractual commitments.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, contract requirements and quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections, testing and documentation activities.
• Direct and coordinate all concrete and structural construction activities.
• Manage self-perform crews, foremen, subcontractors, survey personnel, and craftsmen.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to maximize productivity.
• Oversee concrete placement operations including delivery, finishing, curing, and quality control.
• Verify proper installation of reinforcing steel, formwork, embeds, and structural components.
• Lead corrective action efforts when quality issues arise.

• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding Kiewit’s policies, procedures and software programs.
• Ability to identify and resolve any problems that may arise.
• In addition, this position must have
• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong experience in Leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration
• Abilities to access all areas on a construction project site
