Job summary

ARCO/Murray National Construction in Nashville is seeking a highly motivated Concrete Project Manager who is passionate about the design/build process to join our team. You will assume full responsibility for project performance, client satisfaction, and driving projects from concept through completion.

Lead preconstruction activities, manage budgets, coordinate with design teams and subcontractors, and ensure schedules and scopes align with the owner’s goals.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management, Concrete Management or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years' of construction management on concrete projects in the industrial or commercial sectors.
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
  • Participate in the proposal meetings to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
  • Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule.
  • Work with Project Superintendents to develop and review scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan.
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues.
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
  • Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.

Education

BS in Engineering, Construction Management, Concrete Management or related field
3+ years' of construction management on concrete projects
Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project

A Day In The Life
