Job summary

CEMEX USA in Riverview, FL is hiring a Lab Technician II to support sampling and testing of admixtures under the supervision of Chemist or Engineer. The role emphasizes accuracy and timely execution due to the impact on plant operations.

The candidate will perform mortar and concrete testing, create basic reports, and help maintain QC processes while upholding safety standards in a dynamic lab environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and understand basic technical information in English.
• Must be able to operate laboratory equipment and handle physical tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform mortar and concrete testing procedures, and other tests that lead to certificates.
• Create simple reports.
• Perform other testing related to admixtures QC.
• Analyze testing data.
• Keep track of materials inventory.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment i.e. PPE, 5S, Take 5.
• Assist other areas as needed.
