Job summary

J.J. Barney Construction in Michigan is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead a crew through safe, efficient concrete installation and maintenance on active projects.

You will oversee field operations, read plans, manage labor and equipment, and ensure quality workmanship while upholding our safety standards and schedule commitments. This role requires strong leadership and on-site training abilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and direct labor on site.
• Proficiency in layout, grades, and blueprint reading.
• Experience with ordering materials and equipment.
• Identify and address design, construction, and scheduling issues.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks on site.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
• Prior experience as a Concrete Foreman or similar role is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee concrete crew and ensure safe, on-time site execution.
• Manage labor, equipment, and materials to meet project needs.
• Review plans, specs, and shop drawings for accurate work.
• Submit daily reports, timesheets, and safety forms.
• Maintain high-quality workmanship and adherence to schedule.
