Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a Concrete Foreman in Massachusetts to lead concrete labor crews, develop work schedules, mentor juniors, ensure safety compliance, and verify blueprints and drawings are followed on site.

You will manage materials, coordinate overtime, supervise equipment movement, and uphold MEI's safety culture while delivering on time, with a focus on quality and cost control. A strong track record in concrete operations and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; related degree a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of proven concrete foreman experience or similar field.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
• Excellent interpersonal, supervisory and project management skills.
• Commercial driver's license preferred and ability to obtain a DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Manage concrete laborers on job sites and coordinate schedules.
• Oversee concrete preparation, placement, finishing, curing and ensuring quality.

• Inspect forms and monitor curing conditions affecting cement.

Position Summary

A Concrete Foreman is responsible for all activities and work for the concrete laborers, including preparing work schedules, providing training and mentorship, ensuring safety regulations, blueprints and drawings are followed and approving regular and overtime hours worked. The Concrete Foreman will also be responsible for materials required for concrete construction projects and maintaining tasks on scheduled as required.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, And Education)

• High School diploma or equivalent with continuing education in Business, Project or Construction Management or related degree a plus.
• Minimum ten (10) years proven concrete foreman experience or comparable field preferably within the construction, manufacturing, or rigging or machinery moving industry.
• Excellent interpersonal, management, supervisory and project management skills.
• Highly self-directed and motivated.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.

• Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications and other estimating and business software (such as Wright Plan/CRM) as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Commercial driver’s license preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card upon hire (company will assist as needed).

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to climb, stand; walk; sit; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to adjust straps, move equipment and perform daily duties; reach with hands and arms; push feet to operate crane; pull handles and grasp equipment; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The Concrete Foreman is subject to possible exposure to extreme year-round outdoor environmental conditions and may also be subject to working weekends and holidays.
