Job summary

Virginia Paving Company is seeking a Concrete Finisher to perform skilled finish work on various concrete surfaces across Virginia projects. The role requires experience finishing concrete slabs, spreading materials, and using tools to achieve specified textures and levels.

This full-time, on-site position offers company-paid benefits and opportunities within a leading paving contractor serving Northern Virginia, Stafford County, Fredericksburg, and Hampton Roads.

Qualifications

• Experience demonstrating ability to understand work directions and communicate with job site supervisors and fellow employees.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3-5 years or more of industry related experience in concrete finishing.

Responsibilities

• Finish concrete slabs to specified textures using hand and power tools.
• Spread concrete to required depth and working consistency.
• Mix sand/ cement and pour concrete by hand or mixing machine.
• Level and shape surfaces using straightedge, floats, and screeds.
• Finish surfaces with power trowel and remove defects.
