Job summary

BrightView in Orlando, FL is seeking a Concrete Finisher to help smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete on walks, sidewalks, roads and curbs. You will align forms, patch voids and ensure accurate form construction while maintaining quality on every pour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in concrete finishing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Commitment to safety and quality on site.

Responsibilities

• Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete such as walks, sidewalks, roads, and curbs using hand and power tools.
• Align forms for sidewalks, curbs or gutters; patch voids; check forms for proper construction.
• Set and align forms to the desired pitch and depth.
• Spread, level, and smooth concrete using trowels, screeds, and floats.
• Mold expansion joints and edges with edging tools and jointers.
• Monitor curing conditions affected by wind, heat, or cold throughout the process.
• Produce rough surfaces using a broom and operate a power vibrator to compact concrete.
• Sprinkle colored materials or patterns to achieve design effects.
• Cut division strips and press into terrazzo base to form designs.
• Fabricate concrete beams, columns, and panels.
• Install anchors and fixtures in freshly poured concrete and provide decorative finishes.
