Job summary

Tindall Corporation, a leading precast concrete manufacturer, seeks a skilled Finisher to apply wet and dry finishes to concrete members. You will review shop cards, perform patching and finishing, and ensure quality workmanship on site at our Southeastern U.S. locations.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience. The role involves exposure to outdoor conditions and loud environments typical of a concrete plant.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Review shop cards for previous day's pour.
• Saws off strand ends and applies galvanizing compound.
• burns off strand ends and patches to meet finishing requirements; cleans concrete off plates and applies spray paint.
• Strip off blockouts and salvage woodwork; grind studs and blockouts; wash as needed.
• Apply grout to form sides of concrete members to fill small holes.
• Apply #8 or #13 finishes to concrete members as needed.
• Bull float or hard float wet concrete as needed.
• Place surface plates or lifting devices in wet concrete.
• Perform finishes as directed by Supervisor.

Summary of Primary Functions

Applies wet finishes or dry finishes to concrete members as required by shop cards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviews shop cards for previous day's pour.
• Saws off strand ends and applies galvanizing compound.
• Burns off strand ends and applies patching material to achieve finishing requirements; Cleans concrete off connection plates and applies spray paint.
• Strips off blockouts and cutbacks and salvages woodwork as needed; Rock/grinds PVC blockouts, lifting loop blockouts, cutbacks/blockouts, washes, etc.
• Applies grout to form sides of concrete members to fill in small bug holes.
• Applies #8 or #13 finishes to concrete members, as needed.
• Bull float or hard float wet concrete, as needed.
• Places surface plates or lifting devices in wet concrete.
• Performs required finishes as requested by Supervisor.

Job Specifications or Qualifications

Education and/or Experience : High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
