Job summary

Barnard Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Concrete Finisher to join our field crews across NM and TX, with active work in Santa Teresa and Deming. This hands-on role requires finishing concrete, setting forms, and monitoring curing conditions in varied weather.

You will operate vibration tools, help with edge and joint finish, and assist with material handling. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen, endure heavy physical work, and work 50–70 hours a week when required.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in concrete placing and finishing.
• Direct concrete into forms then spread, level, and smooth concrete.
• Inspect forms to ensure proper construction and alignment.
• Use edging tools, jointers and straightedge for joints and edges.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to exert heavy physical effort; handle objects up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawl.
• Ability to safely and effectively perform essential job functions.
• Ability to work long hours, 50 to 70 per week when required.
