Job summary

The Finisher must have strong basic knowledge of pouring, leveling, forming, troweling, troweling machine for finishing, and concrete. Must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work and learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Move through active construction sites and uneven terrain.
• Inspect work from ground level to elevated locations.
• Ascend/descend stairs, ladders, and scaffolding safely.
• Use hand and power tools and equipment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Communicate with crew, supervisors, clients, subcontractors, vendors.
• Read and apply written instructions and safety standards.
• Work outdoors in heat, cold, and variable conditions.
• Work in confined spaces when required.
• Perform sedentary to heavy physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Place, finish, protect, and repair concrete for projects.
• Place and spread concrete using various tools and level/float the surface.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation.
• Understand the purpose and proper technique for vibrating concrete.
• Assist other craft workers as needed.
