Job summary

Stewart & Tate Construction is seeking a Concrete Finisher to form, pour, level, and finish concrete on commercial sites. You will work as part of a crew, follow safety procedures, and support project teams to maintain quality and schedule.

The role requires readiness to work outdoors in various weather, travel less than 10%, and owning a trowel/float and boots. OSHA awareness and a valid driver’s license are necessary.

Qualifications

• Overtime availability as needed.

• Own trowel, float, and concrete boots.
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to hold a Med Card.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Form, pour, level, and finish freshly poured concrete.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe, organized work area.
• Plan and execute work efficiently with the right tools and materials.
• Assist in excavation of proposed pour areas.
• Assist in building and setting forms for pours (flat, pier, or foundation).
• Grade stone for pours if required.
• Pour, level, and finish according to project specs.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for forming, pouring, leveling, and finishing freshly poured concrete. The individual must be able to demonstrate the ability to be a team player and must be willing to show respect for all co-workers and customers.

• Must keep building and/or assigned areas of the jobsite clean and organized as necessary to maintain a Safe and productive working environment.


• Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the Foreman/General Superintendent, Safety Director, or HR manager.


• Ability to plan and execute your work to provide the highest efficiency possible, ensuring you have the proper tools and materials to perform the task or project.


• Assist in the excavation of the proposed area to be poured.


• Assist in building forms for proposed pour, whether it is a flat pour, pier, or foundation.


• Assist in setting forms and making sure they are at the proper grade or height.


• Grade stone for proposed pour if required.


• Pour, level, and finish freshly poured concrete as the specification of the job or construction site requires.


• Willing to work outside in all types of weather.


• Other duties as assigned
