Job summary

Module X Solutions, a rapidly growing modular manufacturing company based in Shreveport, LA, is seeking a Concrete Finisher to help ensure that concrete work on our projects meets exacting specifications. You will cast, spread, and finish concrete surfaces to the required depth and pitch, and you will prepare forms as needed.

This on-site role requires at least 1 year of concrete finishing experience, the ability to read a tape measure, and proficiency with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• 1 year of concrete finishing experience.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to stand for long periods in a fabrication shop.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Cast and spread concrete to patch voids.
• Finish surfaces with patterns per project preferences.
• Remove edges on expansion joints and sides.
• Place forms to achieve required depth and pitch.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

Concrete finishers make sure the concrete used on job sites is the desired pith, required form and depth.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Casting and spreading concrete to patch voids
• Finishing concrete surfaces with rough or smooth patterns depending on projects preference
• Removing edges on expansion joints and sides
• Placing forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch is achieved
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Work Experience:

• 1 year of Concrete Finishing experience

Education:

• Highschool Diploma / GED or Equivalent

Related Experience:

• Proficient with hand and power tools
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks; keep up in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Knowledge of hand-held and power tools including power vibrators, polishers, cutting saws, and edging tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
