Job summary

Brayman Precast in Saxonburg, PA is seeking a Full-time Concrete Finisher to join our production team and help with placing and finishing concrete on a range of projects. The role involves operating cranes, preparing tools, and applying various finishing techniques to fresh concrete.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship or related experience is preferred. Strong teamwork and safety awareness are essential for success in our busy manufacturing environment.

Brayman Precast is seeking a Full time Concrete Finisher for our location in Saxonburg, PA

While we would like the ideal candidate to have experience specific to placing and finishing concrete, we are also willing to train the right candidate in the skills they need to be successful in this position.

Position Description

As a Concrete Finisher, you will work on various industrial, commercial, institutional and related projects that supply the construction field. This position is part of our finishing crew which performs all phases of concrete production, placement and finishing.

• Performs daily preparation and maintenance of equipment and hand tools.
• Operates overhead cranes and pneumatic equipment to transport and place fresh concrete.
• Uses electric vibrators to consolidate concrete.
• Uses a variety of tools, such as straight-edges, floats, rakes, shovels, trowels, and brooms to apply required finishes to fresh concrete.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of formal apprenticeship or directly related experience, preferred.
• Experience with batching, placing, finishing concrete, and operating overhead crane preferred.
• Thorough understanding of the characteristics of concrete.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to create, lay and use concrete forms.
• Understanding of and ability to use tools related to concrete.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.

Safety Sensitive Position

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work in a heavy manufacturing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee and Team Members without proper safety precautions. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. Team Members will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies due to these safety risks.
