Job summary

Lithko Contracting in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to level, smooth, and finish commercial concrete surfaces. You’ll use hand tools, power finishing equipment, and riding machines to meet precise tolerances and textures.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of commercial finishing experience and a proven record of safety, reliability, and quality workmanship on busy job sites. This on-site role requires strong teamwork and adherence to daily work plans.

Qualifications

Job description

Concrete Finishers deliver the final quality of concrete surfaces by leveling, smoothing, and finishing placed concrete. This role combines craftsmanship with technical skill in using hand tools, power finishing equipment, and riding machines to achieve specified tolerances and finishes. Must have at least 5 years’ commercial finishing experience. (Floors, tilt ups, paving, stairs, curb n gutter, sidewalks, metal decks, structural decks) Concrete Finishers are essential in meeting customer expectations and bringing the concrete work to its finished state.

Tasks & Duties

Concrete Finishing

• Spread, level, and consolidate freshly placed concrete to proper depth and consistency.
• Use Shovel, come-a-long, hand floats, trowels, screeds, bull floats, fresno, edgers, jointers, pull hose, vibrating, saw cutting, walk behind and riding machines to achieve required finish.
• Patch voids, honeycombs, and other surface imperfections as needed.

Tool Operation

• Transport, set up, and maintain finishing equipment.
• Perform minor maintenance on hand and power finishing tools.
• Clean and store tools properly after each use.

Daily Execution

• Follow short-interval schedules for finishing tasks.
• Adjust methods based on weather conditions and mix design.
• Support sequencing of place/finish operations with Crew Task Lead.

Safety and Cleanliness

• Apply proper ergonomics and lifting techniques when handling equipment.
• Identify hazards related to slip, trip, and fall risks during finishing operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after finishing activities.
• Commit to safety and using PPE.
